Dances at Shy Bear Farm are more than just dancing!  We like to call it a '24 hour dance camp' as we invite folks to come anytime after 2 PM on Saturday and leave anytime before 2PM on Sunday.  We have a potluck dinner on Sat. around 6 PM, dancing starts around 7:30 and goes 'til the band refuses to play or the dancers refuse to dance.   The band consists of anyone wishing to bring an instrument and sit in.  The Missoula Folklore Society is blessed with a number of bands and many members quite able to carry a dance tune on anything from a banjo to a zither.  We also have several quite able callers so there never seems to be a lack in that department for volunteers.   And of course there is never a lack of willing dancers.
After the dance, those with any energy left may gather around the campfire and tell stories, make more music, or just sit and relax.

Then, perhaps some more music making at the picnic table, or perhaps a hike on the land.
